Instrumental or with vocals: cocktail-hour warmth, dinner polish, gypsy swing, sax-led duos, and solo features, all amplified for indoor or outdoor rooms without overpowering conversation.
Choose the Format
Quartet
Piano, bass, drums, and sax or trumpet create the classic jazz quartet sound: enough presence to shape a room, still comfortable for conversation. Vocals can be added when the event calls for more personality.
Jazz Collective w/ Vocals
The Charleston Jazz Collective is an 8-piece jazz band with strings, co-directed by Mike Williams on violin and Arshak Sirunyan on piano, with Liz Kelley on vocals. It brings together Charleston jazz and classical players for a sophisticated, high-energy set built for receptions, galas, and corporate events.
Trio
Jazz trio is the easy fit for warm cocktail hours, dinners, and smaller receptions. Choose piano, bass, and drums for classic polish, or Le Pumpe for gypsy swing, guitar-driven rhythm, and a little more movement in the room.
Duo
The duo formats keep the footprint small while still feeling like live jazz. Sax and keys is smooth and polished for dinners and smaller weddings; sax and guitar adds a little groove for cocktail hours and private events.
Solo
Jorge on the Sax brings pop, Latin jazz, Motown, and smooth jazz to ceremonies, cocktails, and receptions. Abdiel Iriarte offers solo jazz piano with Afro-Latin, pop, classical, and modern jazz influences for cocktail hours, dinners, and welcome parties. Mike W, also known as MrFiddlez, performs amplified acoustic or electric violin with pop, jazz, and dance tracks.

Spring and fall Saturdays often book farthest ahead, especially for larger bands and popular venues. If your date is set, it is worth checking availability early so we can hold the right lineup and build the rest of the music plan around it.
Yes. We can connect ceremony strings, cocktail jazz, the reception band, DJ Darby after party sets, and audio support through one booking conversation so the day feels connected instead of pieced together.
For most standard band bookings, the core sound setup is included or planned with the band package. Larger rooms, complex outdoor layouts, ceremonies in separate locations, and extra production needs may require additional audio support.
Yes. Those add-ons are a major part of Avon Society. We can shape a full event flow with ceremony strings, jazz for cocktails or dinner, live sax or electric violin moments, and DJ Darby for the late-night handoff.
Often, yes. Some requests are simple additions and others require arrangement time, rehearsal, or a different ensemble format. The earlier we know the song and the moment, the easier it is to recommend the best approach.
